A quick guide to: T-tests

Description

Hi there! This is another installation of my "A quick guide to:" series. This time around we have a guide to T-tests, a set of statistical tests used to prove or disprove various statistical hypothesis in quantitative data.

Fun fact: The t-test was created by William Sealy Gosset, a chemist working for the Guinness brewery in Dublin, Ireland. Gosset devised the t-test as a cheap way to monitor the quality of stout produced by the brewery. His t-test work was then submitted to and accepted in the journal Biometrika and published in 1908 under the psuedonym of "Student". Which is why the t-test is sometimes called the "Student's t-test"

Hi there! I'm a Polytechnic student studying Biomedical Science and have a passion for Biology and Chemistry. I believe that everyone should have a fair chance at achieving their dreams and the first step in that is making sure everyone has the resources they need. I hope to help, albeit a small bit, by sharing some of my notes and projects related to Chemistry, Biology and Computing.
