I am a firm believer of how everyone should be granted equal access to education regardless of their family background. My prior experience in tuition volunteering has enabled me to see how resources across different schools are unevenly distributed, such that less privileged students are disproportionately disadvantaged. This is where volunteer tutors come in to fill the gap and empower those who have fewer resources to excel academically. In addition, having a keen interest in the Chinese language, I hope to inspire more youths (including students) to develop an interest in the subject and hopefully, the language as well.
